Resource Guarding

Is your dog growling when you try and move them off the sofa?

Resource guarding is a serious issue, and no matter what anyone says, it doesn't get better on its own, AND the dog WON'T grow out of it.

Socialisation

One of the most important parts of raising a new puppy, is Socialisation.

Many would have you believe that, if you don't do it by the time the puppy is so many weeks old, then you've failed as a puppy owner!

While it is, indeed, important to give puppies exposure to new sights, sounds, smells, creatures and textures, when they are young, what's more important is the quality of those experiences.

What is true, is that some of the experiences puppies have when they are young and developing, will stay with the for life. That's why appropriate socialisation matters.
